I disagree - The Patriots are losing $5m off the cap but more importantly Waters will have one good season left. The A & B pot swap only works if it evens out and Waters age goes against.

The deal needs a sweetener for the Eagles in my opinion.

okay i don't want to start a discussion, please just keep in mind hernandez is only 22 yrs old and already at 85 ovr. while both matthews and harbor will have to develope. if you're still against it fine, just wanted to point that out in case you missed it.

Its pretty much a 2-for-1 deal for Aaron Hernandez. I'm just taking Waters for cap purposes. I will most likely cut him right away and eat the 100k cap penalty that remains.

And I accept the deal if it gets approved.

I still think as a 2 for 1 deal its unbalanced - A+B pot for A pot. Its close but not quite 'close' enough for my liking.
As its all about hernandez why take Waters? - Pats can just cut him and offer someone else instead with a lower ovr to balance it out?

We see what LT and Inf say.

Yeah I am seeing a bit of an inbalance here, and agree with BishBosh in the need for a lesser talent in the place of Waters.

While Clay Harbor and Matthews are both young players with lots of upside they aren't the stud Hernandez is, and that makes the Waters inclusion excessive (who is a beast regardless of cap).

Put in a C pot or a low 70 ovr dude in his place and it'd be better.

Remember Harbor is a Hernandez type TE... just obvs not as good.

Philadelphia Eagles

Casey Matthews - MLB - 77 ovr - 0.6 M
Clay Harbor - TE - 72 ovr - 0.6 M

Hey guys - A pot Finnegan for Vikes B pot Cook PLUS 1st round pick?
I'd be happier with a straight trade of Finnegan for 1st rounder. I know its likely to be a low 1st rounder but it seems a little stacked towards the Titans with Cook as well.

The trade won't work any way because of the salary cap problem.

Vikings Cap Room 1.7M
+ Cook 1.1M
- Finnegan 6.9M
= --4.1M

The Vikes will have to clear over $4.1M in cap room before making the trade.

Even with that I think similar to Bish. Cook AND a 1st Rounder is a bit much for Finnegan. I think Cook and a 2nd would be ok or a 1st straight up. The Titans could possibly send the Vikes another player to offset Cook and a 1st if its the right player.

Its no problem to fit the cap, trust me. but i wont do anything before the trade isnt accepted. i will release C Gorude 3,3M + CB- Holloway 1,8 M = 5,1M
After that i will hire 2 backups with Cap hit 0,3M.
5,1 - 0,6 = 4,5

4,1 < 4,5 !!! I´m a fucking maths genius!!!!

i think this trade is ok, you wont get an pot a player with a 88ovr in the first round, so im absolutely fine with giving Cook away too

I'm with Bish and Brza. Trade too stacked against the Vikes. Cook plays better than he's rated, has B Pot and youth on his side. Finnegan means you have to endure the annoying commentary on him about being scrappy, aswell as being near 30 and not even 90 ovr.

I'd say that a first for Finnegan straight up is the fairest way to do the deal, although I'd argue that it'd need a stipulation arguing that it'd have to be a late 1st rounder... or early 2nd.

Ok, so it seems this trade is approved by all if its:
TEN Titans
CB C. Finnegan 88 OVR $6.9M
FOR
MIN Vikings
1st Round pick 2013

But good point by Eder that no 88 OVR A Pot player will be available late in the 1st. Still think Cook is a bit much though. I'd say if the Titans need a CB in exchange then one of the Vikings rookies would be ok, Sherels 68OVR B POT, Holloway 71OVR C POT or Finley 74OVR C POT.

i will release Cook anyway if the trade wont work with him. Holloway and Finley are rookies - cant be trade in the first season right? i wont trade sherels or finley.

So Titans can choose between Holloway or fighting for Cook as a FA.
