Ok, if you're switching to a 4-3.

Making my switch to 4-3 complete.

DE JJ Watt (https://daddyleagues.com/smleurope/player/17933133/attributes) to DT
ROLB Mercilus (https://daddyleagues.com/smleurope/player/17933139/attributes) to DE
MLB Washington (https://daddyleagues.com/smleurope/player/17933866/attributes) to ROLB

The only ? is JJ Watt - he's a special case. See what the otehrs have to say about him being a 4-3 DT.

Ok thanks for the quick response. I think Watt could be a 4-3 DT as he's 6'5 295 and pretty strong. There are DTs with similar size. For example https://daddyleagues.com/smleurope/player/17932292.

Not to stick my oar in too deep but I also looked at changing the Texans to a 4-3 when I was thinking of switching. I looked at JJ Watt at DT and checked his weight (high enough), strength (top5 position) and his lack of speed. I felt he matched last years rules regarding speed (<79) at the DT position. His original combine scouting report had him listed as a 3-4DE, 3Tech DT in nickel or strong side 4-3DE.

If I'm are allowed to interject like @mattanite did lol

League rule on changes "All other instances will be evaluated if submitted but generally no position changes will be allowed that would put the player in the top 5 at any position specific or athletic rating for the new position. "

I looked the the key attributes for Watt - he's either top or 2nd in each of the areas in a comparison against Suh (phins) and Atkins (Bengals) who I believe are the 2 best DTs in M18 - so if Watt is stripping them two then damn he aint in the top 5 he becomes the top DT in the league!

Here is where I made the comparison using DL https://daddyleagues.com/smleurope/compare/17931323/17933133/17931959

Yeah but Watt would be a 4-3 DT if he was in a team with that scheme. I don't understand the fuss.

I just remember that rule about top 5 being used in discussion before about position changes. That's the only reason I mentioned it really Laughing

Re: Texans position changes

The top 5 rule is basically to guard against letting an average player at his native position switch to another and become an instant star. For instance, an average CB with mid-80s ZCV and MCV would instantly become a top 5 cover S. Watt is already top 5 at his position so the rule doesn't really apply to this switch since he realistically would be a DT in a 4-3 scheme.

Watt, Mercilus and Washington changes are ok with me.
