Broncos Resigning

Post by humle9 on Sun Apr 22, 2012 10:22 pm

I'm gonna resign. My internet went down so I missed the draft, and honestly don't feel like playing with a team with huge holes that weren't adressed in draft, because I couldn't be there. It meant that only terrible players were drafted(89&82 Pot players, despite sitting at 16th), giving me no option for trading them to good players in the right position. Good luck & Have fun everone.

I don't know what you were expecting to get in the draft but you cannot honestly say those players are terrible. You got an absolute freak at TE with 90 SPD, 89 CTH and great blocking ratings for the position. He was the second highest rated player in the draft and it doesn't matter if he caps out at an 89 rating because first he's all-pro quality already (the only other 90 SPD TE in the franchise led the league in receiving last year) and second we will realistically only get in 2 more full seasons before Madden 13 comes out so most of the rookies will never reach their full potential if thats above 90 anyway.

In the second you got the second best QB in the draft if you're not happy with Tebow's mediocre passer ratings. And in the third you got a solid CB, which was a need, who could play nickel right now and has 84 POT.

I'm sorry if those weren't the guys or positions you were targeting but I don't think thats a reason to quit the league. There were plenty of guys who were upset in the chatroom when the TE was picked so I'm sure you might be able to get good value for him if thats not what you want.

Plus in online franchise hardly anybody ever gets more than 3 starting caliber players (and getting 3 guys means a stellar draft) because everyone knows all the player ratings beforehand so there's no real chance of finding a late round gem.

You also have the most caproom available right now and there are still quite a few quality FAs on the market so I hope you'll reconsider. And if you really don't like the team at all you could also switch teams now since the season hasn't started yet.

Count yourself lucky EA wasn't drafting for you. You would have probably ended up with a K & P from the 1st & 2nd round.

Like brza said, I'm pretty sure there's a few people willing to trade for that TE if you don't want him.

Very true LT - I have not beaten you. In fact, apart from the new guys you are the only one never to feel the crushing bite power of the Bears jaws!

Hope to meet you in a Superbowl some time soon - but you'll have to deal with your arch enemy Texans first!

ps - the above fact will put fear into your opponents next season!!!!
