Week 6 - Chiefs v Raiders

Post by Pastinator on Fri Jul 20, 2012 9:18 am

Chiefs edge battle at Coliseum

The Chiefs move to 5-1 going into their bye week with a hard fought victory over the Raiders. Jamaal Charles again showed everyone why he is considered one of the top running backs in the SML with a fantastic display rushing for 163 yards off only 14 carries.

Michael Vick and the Raiders leave with their heads held high though and wonder how they didn't come away with the victory here. The Raiders secondary turned up in a big way with 3 picks and were looking like they would take the lead after Michael Huff intercepted the ball with under a minute to go in the 2nd Quarter. The turning point in the game came on the very next play where the Chiefs got a pick of their own - Vick threw to his favourite target Ausberry only for Derrick Johnson to jump the route and take it home for the score.

Final Score - 24 - 16

Thanks for the game Oss!

Nice recap! Hey OSS looks like that Vick deal is working out real well for you. Top 5 in passing Shocked I should have held out for a first rounder...
