I approve but wish I stepped in to make the move first Crying or Very sad

Always think of Amendola being off limits as the owner is a Rams fan...

Good deal, its approved, did see this on PS3 though where he must have been cut and then signed? Thats not how we do business here nowadays ya'll

I wasn't actively shopping him and yes I did sign him as a FA but not to trade, I signed him to be part of my team. Pooky just made me an offer that I thought was good value for someone who wasn't my starter.

Just saw this. Why is Danny amendola on the lions roster? I would imagine he is one of the better rams wr?

Well I picked him up in FA so the cpu must of cut him from your team whilst you were on auto pilot to get down to the required 53. I also picked up Daryl Richardson who got cut. Depends on scheme though, to me Amendola was a 71 but in Pookys scheme he was 79 so i would guess that your default scheme wasn't to his strengths, either that or the cpu just makes shite decisions which is also highly probable.

CPU cut him in my other league too, thanks to this league I signed him back before anyone else did.

I believe it is because he is in the last year of his deal, or a one year contract. Those sorts of non renegotiable deals tend to have no cap hit and are usually for Free Agents signed in the off season, and as such probably are higher up in the CPUs cut list than lower OVR players with longer deals etc.

And on another note i think it is pretty unsim that you Can Pick up a street fa and then trade him for a 3rd round pick but that is just mé.....

No rules against it that I have seen, our commish has a FA pick up on his trade block so I'd confidently say it is legal.

On what grounds? The guy was cut, I can see it sucks for you but it is what it is.

Not in Madden 13 with the scheme fits.

I went into FA, looked through the receivers, seen a guy I liked with a 71 OVR and signed him as depth at WR. Obviously I got him before anyone else noticed him there who would value him more highly. He was 4th or 5th on my depth chart and I did not shop him. Pooky dropped me a PM asking if I was interested in trading him (he was a 79 OVR in his scheme) and after some back and forth the deal was agreed. I needed him as depth but for a 3rd I decided it was worth taking the risk. Trade comity approved and it was put through.
You don't think a young WR with an OVR of 79 is worth what is probably going to be a late 3rd round pick?

Everything was legal and above board, nothing to see here.

Solely On the grounds that the rams are my team and i don't fancy getting back to my team where core players are cut automatically so that other teams Can accumulate picks. I have actually bid on other fa and won them. Why could i not Pick up Danny boy. I am still the no 1 on the waiver wire...

Let me clarify that i do not believe that the lions/pats did anything wrong per se. The guy should never have been a fa without my ok. End of story.
The fact that he was a fa was also questioned by someone on the trade committee.

I must say that as a somewhat long tenured player i feel quite raped on this one. We should be able to go on bloody vacation without our teams getting stripped

Jensua I feel your pain and I too would be pissed, however, as it stands, no rules have been broken and if you'd have made sure to be at 53 before cuts were due you'd have had full control over who is cut and who isn't.

I'm not too sure if thats a feasible statement as I've not tried cutting anyone using the EA sports site myself, and it is most certainly unfortunate, however, the league must go on and you can't reverse a trade that has been put through and agreed to.

I most certainly feel your pain though. Losing a key Ram like Danny is a tough pill to swallow. Smith has a similar skillset however, and you can make a move for Greg Salas back and develop him into the heir apparent he was drafted to be.

I totally feel you Jens, don't get me wrong. From my perspective though, he was there in FA and if I never signed him then someone else would of. As for waiver wire, we did 2 rounds of a FA draft and then the FA pool was just a free for all. Danny wasn't cut until around week 3 of pre season I think so I assume if you never made any cuts before going on holiday then your roster would of been at around 60-64 with your FA draft signings so the cpu had to get rid of quite a few guys, its just unlucky that you were away during the cuts and that the AI is dumb as shit.
