Well.... I vote for a mistrial and let the white cracker go back to where he belongs. It is not like the lions or pats really need him. He is a depth guy on both teams.

You would loose your 3rd rounder which you have shruedly bargined for and pats loose another guy. But i guess my main point is that i would never have Cut him...

Well perhaps the others could give there opinions on it. The thing is at the moment you have lost out but if you get him back then both me and Pooky lose out through no fault of ours. It is a bad situation for you but I really don't see how it could be fixed fairly.

Hypothetically what if someone else joins the league with one of the vacant teams and their favourite player is now on another team, can he have them back for free? I know it's not exactly the same and that you are a long time member but it is a similar situation. Perhaps you could try and trade with Pooky to get him back?

I'm offline for a few hours and it seems all hell has broken loose. Sorry guys. Give me a minute to read through the whole thing and sort this out.

Re: Lions/ Patriots trade

I'm sorry about this guys. I should have caught this before the trade went through. Because of the opening day CCM rosters being delayed Jensua couldn't join the league before his vacation. I then told him I would watch out for his team and cut the practice squad guys for him. Since he was on autopilot though the CPU cut players at the beginning of the week instead of the end. Because CCM doesn't have a transaction list I missed the fact that Amendola got cut.

This is not a case of a guy joining late and his player is gone because of that. Jensua would have joined in time if the roster was released as planned. This is more about a guy who has been with the league for a long time losing a player because of poor AI and bad circumstances.

Also this trade just happened and no trades have happened since. So there is no series of events that have been affected by this trade or players that would have been taken had Amendola not mistakenly been cut or the trade been put through.

Seeing as jensua is also a long standing member and had no fault in the whole deal I think the fairest thing to do would be to reverse the trade and let the Rams have Amendola back. Can we agree to that?

Hell since the whole thing is actually my fault I may offer up a wr in exchange for Amendola to put things back right.

So Jensua gets his player back, Pooky gets his pick back and little old me gets shafted? Hmm...

I'm not one to cause a fuss though so sure, I agree for what it's worth.

Thanks man but it's ok, why should you lose out.

My main peeve is that I cut Burleson and took about a $3m cap penalty after I signed Amendola because he had become surplus to requirements and was due to make good money this year and next. I was willing to accept that for a 3rd round pick though and just make do. Now I have a cap penalty, no pick or receiver lol.

Cmon man be serious you would have cut Burleson anyway. You have a stable of young WRs that are almost all better than Burleson and a lot cheaper. Burleson would have been your 5th best WR and just eaten up salary cap the next couple years if you didn't cut him.

But like I said I'll take the whole thing on my self and can offer Deon Butler to Pooky if it will make everybody happy. You get to keep the Pat's 3rd rounder, Jensua keeps Amendola and Pooky gets his short, young average WR but now it will at least be one who can run (95 spd) instead of Amendola's LB-like 85 spd.

So in the end only I will get shafted but whatever its just a game and the Eagles never would have had Butler anyway.

In M13 I'd take Butler over Amendola - IRL Amendola is a fine WR but those subtle moves he puts on DB's just do not translate to Madden!

Hm sorry this is causing so much noise but for me it is the principle in it. What if the pats gets greg salas as irl and everything stands? Or does he suck immensely? The pick could be changed from a 3rd to a 4th?
No need to involve other teams players into this mess. I appreciate the thought brza but it aint Right you should suffer.

Without wanting to sound like a dick no I wouldn't of cut him anyway, I wasn't short on cap and was going to keep him the year as a depth guy and cut him next year when the cap penalty was less. Once I picked up Danny I decided he would never see the field and there wasn't any interest in trading him and I was struggling to get down to 53 so I decided It was pointless keeping him.

It is just a game though so it doesn't really matter and I agree with Jens, nobody else needs to get involved or lose out. As long as it is cool with Pooky I'll just trade him back his 3rd for Amendola and then just cut him so he can be signed to the Rams.

I can understand how both sides feel about it. And I just want to find a solution to the problem without anyone of you feeling cheated. Like I said I should have caught this earlier just been busy lately. So if i have to offer butler I'm fine with it. Pooky needs to reply so we can get this done by the advance.

I thought you and Pooky came to an agreement a couple weeks ago that would have made everyone happy? You guys didn't follow through on that?

we will just let it be as it is eventhough I must say that I am hugely disappointed in the lack of fariness from the involved parties.
