Guys, steady yourselves. Pastinator and I have been talking, and here is the trade:

JPP for Bowman.

I know. Epic.

Not sure - Bowmans contract was up for renewal which ive offered him a new one and it says were negotiating it so would it be wise to delay the trade until that contracts been signed?

Yes you can trade players that you just resigned. Actually its probably more of a problem trading players that rejected your contract offer. Guys who rejected the contract should have less trade value than ones with years remaining or a new contract.

I approve the trade too.

Bowman hasn't actually signed on the dotted line yet so shall i delay putting the trade through until hes signed?

I think its ok to put it through as long as he hasn't rejected the offer. It only reduces trade value if the new team has to use the franchise tag on him because your offer was rejected.

it actually says the deal is under negotiation so if were good to put it through then Jimmety can propose it on Madden and ill accept.

I approve of this deal.

Personally there is more of a premium on pass rushers but it seems Jimmety places a lot of emphasis on MLB. For this reason I approve it but boy is JPP a monster and in comparison is definitely the better and more valuable player in this trade.

I don't think the game will let him offer Bowman a new deal after he has been traded. Also there is a EA glitch with trading contract year players, were it won't let the players new team offer him a contract and won't let you fran tag him. So tbh it would be best to resign b4 trading him or he will lose him to FA.

I didn't know about that bug scouse. Thanks for the info. I guess it only makes sense to wait till the deal goes through before the trade can be accepted then. Think you should also talk to jimmety about the contract you'll offer him as IRL this would probably be negotiated by the new team with the player before the deal would be accepted.

ok ill hold off on accepting the trade then. with regard to Bowmans contract I've already proposed one so i dont think i can view it until he's accepted it. Jimmety is welcome to withdraw the trade if he's not happy with his contract.

Doesn't sound like this trade will go through before seasons end to me - if Bowman is 'negotiating' you may not find out for a while - and he may still say no.

Can you increase an offer whilst negotiating'?

No you can't increase during the same week but if they're negotiating then they will ask again the following week if they don't accept outright after advance. Negotiating is a good sign.

Bowman came back to me with cap in hand doing his best ''Oliver'' impersonation so ive re-negotiated with him so hopefully on next advanced he will sign and if Jimmety still wants him the deal is on Very Happy
