Where in the 1st round roughly is the pick that's being traded? The trade seems a little unbalanced unless it's a high pick.

FYI guys - Brza will be posting soon about trades  - regarding when they can be posted/ratified etc.

One other thing - Cliff Avril (and Cris Clemons) ovr's are weirdly wrong on both DaddyLeagues AND PS4. Just need to bear that in mind also because Avril is obviously a high 80's DE.

Sorry for the late response but offseason trades are a somewhat complicated issue. I'm for all things that increase conversation and league activity and trades are definitely one of those things. However, there are a few problems with approving trades before the offseason starts.

First is that retirements and regression are sometimes so random in Madden that we can almost never be sure whether the players who were proposed in the trade will have the same ratings or even be available when the offseason begins.
Second is the contract issue. Some contracts have huge escalators that can make trades impossible once we advance to the offseason. This isn't just a problem of checking the salary for the players involved but also for the entire team on both sides.
Third, there is also a big problem if one team leaves the league or becomes inactive before the offseason starts. There is no way to force a trade to go through in that case.
Finally, we have a 4 trade per season limit in order to keep teams from trading away all marquee players that people identify a franchise with. Allowing trades to become official before the offseason starts kind of circumvents that rule as it would be theoretically possible to make 8 different trades before one season is over.

In order to keep interactivity up but also avoid issues if that even trade suddenly becomes unaffordable or impossible due to contracts, regression or retirement, trade agreements will be allowed to be posted but won't be officially reviewed/approved by the committee until the offseason starts.

So in summary, keep discussing trades all season long. If you want you can post them or you can just keep them private until the offseason. But either way they can't be approved and transacted until the offseason starts.

By the way, the Playoffs will start on March 2nd so the offseason should start around March 9th.

Good points boss - the contracts alone make pre off-season trades impossible.

Thanks for clarifying - although my CONCRETE trade for Patrick Willis is now scuppered as BigJim can claim it never happened.   Razz

As long as your Pat Willis trade is scuppered then I'm happy Smile
